Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: Depicts Sarasota County addressable building footprint polygons with elevation information extracted from stereo imagery that was collected using a Digital Mapping Camera (DMC) at an average elevation of 10,000 ft above mean sea level to produce 1 ft pixel resolution imagery. Imagery collected in December 2008 and January 2009. The dataset was then updated using imagery flown in December 2009 and January 2010 along with parcels that had new permits over the last year. During this update some buildings were found to have been added, removed or altered and the dataset reflects those changes. The dataset was further updated using imagery flown in December 2010 and January 2011 adding all rooftops with no minimum mapping unit. RoofElevation values represent roof peak elevation in NAVD88. Dataset was updated in March 2014 using stereo DMC2 imagery flown at an average elevation of 17000 feet and utilizing the county parcel data to add an additional 6200 building footprints.
